TEXAS REGULATORY ADVOCACY

TEXALTEL's primary role is to represent the interests of our members with the various Texas regulatory agencies.  This largely involves activities in connection with advocating member interests at the Public Utility Commission of Texas but also involves monitoring and participation involving other agencies such as the Texas 911 Commission.

Our role will vary based on circumstance and member need.  In various proceedings, TEXALTEL has participated as a party in litigated matters, filed comments, and briefed Commissioners and Staff.  In other circumstances, TEXALTEL has supported members that choose to engage in these activities directly.
